hi everyone well im confused can a syllabic consonant occurs in the middle or the first position ?

Hi, I cannot think of an example of initial syllabic consonants. However, middle position does occur in English. ) happening (progressive participle) Both in the progressive and the infinitive form the n can perfectly well manage without the schwa that is attached to it, which I think is usually not very emphatically pronounced by native speakers, expect maybe during very careful speech.
