Hi, everyone
What's the difference between the two words in the context of:

We 'swipe' cards - pass them through some sort of machine or sensor to read the information carried either on a magnetic strip or internal 'chip'. We don't ever use use the verb 'whisk' simply for this action. There is a use of 'whisk' to mean 'to move quickly' and you need to follow up with detail of the movement.

Here I'm looking for a suitable verb for "contactless card", which can be read in front of a reader.

Is "swipe" still ok to use ?
