Dear Teachers,
Could you tell me, please, what word you would use for a person who poses as another, more attractive person on the Internet (by putting someone else's image in their profile), and tries to cheat money out of others by psychological manipulation (usually by pretending that he or she fell in love with the target person)?
I read the Wiki article on “charlatan” and now I think "swindler" isn't the best expression (if it can be used in this context at all)... Could you help me, please? Thank you.
