I knew the meaning of "swell", as verb and noun, but I guess I know the meaning of these sentences, but I was wondered how their meaning converted in here as "good", and I know that these are quite old-fashioned usages of the "swell". Could you help me to understand why they are related? And do you think the meaning of "good" is buried in current usage of swell?
