I know swell has a variety of meannigs but what about here?

Yes, it means splendid (as I'm guessing BE users would say) or as AE speakers might say, "Great." He's appreciative of her offer. It also sounds a little dismissive; without seeing the actual clip, I'm guessing he wants to defuse her attitude by not appearing particularly impressed.
