sweet peas

Sorry if this one is somewhat off-tangent but I have no one to ask about this... I will be cooking dinner and one of the ingredients is "sweet peas" I tried to google it because I want to see how it looks like, is it the same as green peas or chik peas? All I saw were pictures of plants and flowers... Please, I just want to know how it looks like, please describe it to me. I'm gonna buy it in the grocery later, I'm not sure if the people there know it because sometimes they don't (we are actually from different countries here)

Thanks! I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer me immediately.

Ciao,

Use green peas, however you can get them there. Chick peas are garbanzo beans.

As far as I know, in the U.S. sweet peas are flowers, not something to eat.
I would interpret it as green peas, however.

sweet peas are flowers here too.

I'd interpret it as fresh, young, sweet-tasting green peas.
