Suspended animation...

Clark: Your ship, it seemed to be underwater
for a long time. You must have crash-landed during
the meteor shower, into the reservoir.
When the dam broke,
it finally brought you to the surface.

Kara: How long was l in suspended animation?

Since she's an alien could it be lethargy?

Clark: Eighteen years.

Kara: My embedded learning programs
covered a lot of scenarios, but this clearly wasn't one of them.

"Suspended animation" is a physical state of reduced cellular (metabolic) activity, in which all muscular action has ceased - like animals in hibernation. Since this case is fictitious, it's unknown whether respiration, heartbeat and blood circulation continued. )

I know that. But I'm asking since she's an alien can she mean
lethargy, just like the bears, in this particular case?

Impossible to say without more context.

If she were in it for 18 years, I think "lethargy" would be an understatement.

What information do you have describing her behavior during those 18 years??

Her current vital functions are more than okay if that's what you mean by 'behaviour'. .
All I know from the episode is that she's Clark Kent's long lost cousin.
And her spaceship's been underwater for 18 years because she crash-landed.
But she says she has embeded

If she was underwater for 18 years and she thinks she was in suspended animation for that period, then it seems very unlikely that she was functioning normally, or even "lithargically." "Suspended animation" is not "limited or restricted animation". Suspended is suspended - kaput!

Perhaps I misunderstood your question. I thought you wondered if her 18 years of suspended animation
