Hi all, could anyone improve the sentences below?

An overweight, homely and old lady caught everybody's curiosity.

She was not well prepared, has neither additional make up nor presentable clothes.

Judges were bemused but had no chance and let her sang.

"I Dreamed a Dream ... ", Susan Boyle uttered every words melodiously.
