Hello, teachers!

[1] Which tense is correct?
The creatures [survive, survived] the last Ice Age.

[2] Which is correct, from or since? If both are correct, which is better?
The creatures have survived from/since the last Ice Age.

1. You can't "survive" (present tense) an event in the past (Ice Age).
2. "from" would be understood as well, but "since" is more common with the present perfect tense.
