Hello. Could you, please, give definition of each season of the year? (It's a research poll among English people for my dissertation). Thank you.

This seems to be an odd type of survey, because the seasons have various characteristicss all over the world. They are "defined" by their position in the year: summer and winter begin on the solstices; spring and autumn begin on the equinoxes.

I suffered for three weeks during the "cold" month of December in Southeast Asia. Constant temps well above 30° centigrade, with matching humidity.
