Surprise bonus or surprising

I saw the sentence below in a brochuse.
So far as I know, surprise is a verb. Surprising and surprised are just adjectives.
I think in this sentence it should be surprising.

Win a surprise bonus if you top-up a minimum of RM50 per month for 3 consecutive months.
Am I right?

I disagree. They are not the same despite of their origin.

We can have a "surprise birthday party" for someone whom does not have any idea. But using "surprising" in this context would sound unnatural to most native ears.

We may have "surprising news/ results".

I would say "surprising" emphasizes the way the person feels on learning about this thing, whattever it was. It was unexpected and a bit shocking.

Meanwhile, "surprise" just means it wasn't known about in advance.

People who drop in on your without calling have made a surprise visit, but if they do this frequently, you won't be surprised, so their visit is not "surprising" - it

She will be given a surprise party.
She don't know that she will be given a surprise party.

But now I am confused about the usage of surprising.
