SURNAME PRONUNCIATION

I was wondering if there is a place to find the pronunciation of surnames.

Mainly: Feigenbaum and Gristede

I don't know as these are not English surnames? They look like German or Dutch to me.

Since there generally aren't dictionary entries for surnames, you have to guess at pronounciations. Sometimes you can apply pronounciation rules for similar words, but more often you'll have to know the rules for the origin language. Sometimes the web might have pages with pronounciations, but often not.

Feigenbaum sounds German, so the 'ei" is pronounced like the i in 'high'. Figh-gehn-b
