surf on the net

One day when I was surfing on the net, I met a girl, Tammy, who had long hair and good looking.

Should I reword the underlined parts as "surfing the Internet" and "good looks?" Thanks.

Hi,

One day when I was surfing on the net, I met a girl, Tammy, who had long hair and good looking.

Should I reword the underlined parts as "surfing the Internet" You can say a variety of things, including the two you mention. 'On' is optional. Capitals are optional, too. eg (internet/Internet, net/Net.)

I would say "surfing the 'Net" or "surfing the net" or "surfing the Internet."

She had long hair and good looks. (I personally find "she had good looks" to sound odd, but it's not incorrect.)

She had long hair and was good looking. (Okay, but still not completely natural to my ears.)

She was good looking, with long hair. Or She was good looking and had long hair.
