Sure of / about

I am not sure of the results VS. I am not sure about the results.

Do native English speakers feel any difference in meaning between them, and use them separately? Thank you in advance.

This is just my two cents, of course, but "I am not sure of the results" sounds to me like you are doubting the accuracy of the results, while "I am not sure about the results" sounds to me like you do not know what the results mean.
