Sure (meaning)

Hello!

A few days ago, I was listening to Matt Redman's song Love So High for the first time. At some point, in the chorus, I hear something like "Your love, so sure, stronger than the mountains" (it had to be sure because shore would make no sense there).

But that didn't sound right. What does that mean? I've always heard sure meaning certain. If I am sure that something is true, it means that I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it is true. But that meaning didn't seem to make sense there.

So, what could the author mean by "a love that is sure"? Thanks in advance for any reply!

Hmm... I didn't know that, but it doesn't sound bad... I'd never heard sure meaning anything other than certain. Can it actually mean secure? Have you ever heard anything like that?
