Hi. I'm writing a script and would like to know if I have used "sure" correctly in these three examples.
Example 1:
A: I painted it myself. You like it?
B: ...Sure.
- Would the ambiguity of sure be perfect here if B doesn't like the painting, but lies about it though not convincingly?
Example 2:
A: You could come over tomorrow. Then you could meet him.
B: ...Sure.
- Would sure be perfect here to politely imply reluctance and disinterest?
Example 3:
A: We didn't talk about you.
B: Sure.
- Would sure be perfect here to imply that B doesn't believe they didn't talk about him (with the right intonation of course)?
