Supplement qualifications

Hello,

The sentence which I translated doesn't sound good to me. The idea is that a graduate should complete his qualifictions if needed.

"Graduates possess qualifications which are subject to the necessity to supplement them with special qualifications in cases required by specific regulations"

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions to make the sentence correct.

Thank you

Yes, that sentence is a disaster! It's hard to advise you without knowing the context. eg What kind of graduates?

How about simply this?

Graduates may have to obtain special qualifications.
