If the adjective has three or more syllables, use "most~" instead of "~est". If the adjective has two or fewer syllables, use "most~" instead of "~est", except when it ends in "y". Stupid is one of those pesky exception words, so in my opinion *, you can use either "most stupid" or "stupidest" without much concern.
