1. He runs the most slowly.

2. He runs the slowliest.

Which of the above sentences is correct?

Number one is better than number two. (I don't think "slowliest" is a word.) What's wrong with "He runs the slowest,"? He's the slower of the two. He's the slowest of the three.

"He runs more slowly than his brother," sounds okay, but where would you use the examples you gave us?
