Sup mate

What is the meaning of that term? Does it mean sexual partner, just a good mate or maybe something else?

I'm not familiar with the term as a noun phrase. In an Australian context, it's more likely: " 'S'up mate? ", so it really doesn't mean "bed mate" or anything of an intimate partnership.

Yeah, i've seen it used as an abbreviation for "What's up?" even in an english contest.
