A sunroom is a room or an enclosed porch with glass or transparent plastic walls or numerous windows, oriented and designed to admit much sunlight. It is also called sunspace.

lanai
Nearly every house in Honolulu has what is called a lanai. It is a roofed structure with open sides near a house.
