Sunday morning

Hi teachers,

My dictionary says :"I'll meet him on Sunday morning ",but I read on the Internet"He talked with their families Saturday night". Please help me understand when we must use ON before such phrases as Saturday morning,Monday afternoon,Tuesday evening ,Thursday noon etc., and when we must not use ON in such cases.

Thank you in advance

] ( [morning / afternoon / evening / night] ) But you may omit on as the mood strikes you! There is no rule about when to use on and when to omit it. It's your choice.

I think 'on' is not dropped in BrE. Please come on Friday. NOT Please come Friday.
