Summing up other studies

After I have named several papers in more detail, is it possible to use the following to sum up (names and years) related studies?
Shoud I use a colon, or start with the fist name?

"Other empirical studies that have found high returns to infrastructure are"

A colon is appropriate, but if the list is very long, perhaps "studies are listed below" - then just make a list rather than include them in the text.

I list 3 other studies, I think this is still clear.
Thanks for the tip!
