Summer holiday(s)

Hello everybody.

If school ends around the 10th June and starts again around the 10th of September, can you talk about 'summer holidays' or is 'summer holiday' more appropriate?

I'm thinking of a question like: 'How did you spend your summer holiday(s)?'

Thank you.
