Sum of percentages

Hello. I have made a table with two connected figures: 30.0% and 22.5%. In the main text, I want to comment their sum. Is it OK to use "plus" in brackets in this case? Like in the following example:

The percentage of 52.5% (30.0% plus 22.5%) is . . .

Any other suggestion?
