When do I use the phrases above?
For example, Can I say: "This jacket suits you".
"Potatoes go well with chicken"
"Those Trousers do not fit"

Those are all fine.

You can say "This jacket does not fit you" if it is too short in the sleeves, too tight, too big, etc. It's the wrong size for your body. You can say "This jacket fits you well" if it's cut the right way for your body.

You can say "This jacket does not suit you" even if it fits because it's not flattering. You can say "It suits you" if it looks nice and is app
