Suitable for the purpose

Hi dear techears,

today I had to convince my customer not to change stand design used in 2011 and reuse it this year as well. Please check if I wrote the concept well or not.

"Dear Paul,
I suggest you to reuse the same project as last year. I do believe that the stand built in 2001 was completely suitable for its purpose so I would like not to change anything"

The doubt is "suitable for its purpose".....

Thanks

Pamela

Here is my suggestion, as a native English speaker. " "Dear Paul, I suggest you reuse the same project as last year. "

Here is my suggestion, as a native English speaker. Also, remove the "to" before "reuse," and add a comma after "purpose."

"Dear Paul,
I suggest you reuse the same project as last year. I do believe that the stand built in 2011 was completely suitable for its purpose, so I would not recommend changing anything."

One more thing please... Can the verb "to recommend" be followed by an infintive veb? Here, from your example, it seems that it follows the same rule as the verb "to suggest" ...?
"I suggest use ...."
"I suggest using..."

"I recommend use.."
"I recommend using.."
