Does this sentence—the use of 'suit' in particular— sound natural?
Quite unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the Japanese culture suits him.

Quite unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the Japanese culture suits him.

And is the article 'the' necessary here or not? It's optional. Using it suggests that the writer is thinking of specific cultures, (eg The Japanese culture doesn't suit him, but the Korean and the Thai
