suicide

On yesterday's morning, an officer in the town of X received a suicide call. It was not an usual suicide. A mother decided to kill herself to free her family from a foreclosure on their home that afternoon. Officers were immediately despatched to the location but it was too late. She had shot herself with a shot gun and left a suicide note for the mortgage company that said "Please be kind to my husband and kid. Use the insurance money to pay off the mortgage". Apparently, the husband, a plumber, had no idea their home was about to be foreclosed since she took care of their finances. It was a wake up call to the nation that the housing crisis must be addressed immediately.

Are there any mistakes?
Thanks.

Only a couple:

1. On yesterday's morning -

'Yesterday' doesn't take the possessive form when used with 'morning'; you can say 'yesterday's news' or 'yesterday's newspapers' for example, but here you would say 'Yesterday morning' (and without the 'On'. You would use 'On' with a specific day of the week, e.g. 'On Sunday morning', but not with 'yesterday' or

First, it sounded a little off to me. I tried some on-line research, which only served to confuse me, as I am not financially ept, Nevertheless, it seems that the loan is foreclosed while the house is foreclosed upon.

yizhivika'It was an unusual suicide', you would be correct! Once again, it's because of the initial sound of the 'u' in the word.
Hi Yizhivika. Thanks for your corrections but I don't quite understand this comment. I agree with you that 'a' should precede the 'u' sound. Why is this an exception?

EDIT: Oh. I got it. Sorry.
