Hi, I have to write a paper for my American Heritage class about a right that is claimed today that is not drectly in the constitution, and I have to explain whether that right deserves to be protected by the Constitution, and why or why not. I have chosen the right to education for my topic. Some reasons that I have chosen to back up my essay are that:
1. It falls under the law of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"
2. It may not directly be stated in the Constitution, but it is clearly stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations, which still secures it.
And then from there, I somehow got into how education is important, which is way off topic, and I'm having trouble finding more points to back up my original arguement. So if anyone has any ideas as to what points I could make, I would really appreciate it!
