Suggestion for when something is being prepared

Hi,

The question might be a bit strange. What I mean by that is if there is something that is not yet done but will be done sooner or later, how would you tell people when it will be done? (Something could be anything like flight being delayed, a web site open behind schedule)

I normally use these phrases or sentences in this situation:

"Coming soon!"

"In Progress"

"Under maintenance "

"Something will be done shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience."

Are they totally acceptable? And I would like know how real native speakers say in this situation either formally or informally.

Always thank you!

We would not likely SAY any of those. Those sound like written announcements posted on a website under construction, for instance, or on the front door of a new shop soon to be opened. ' I reply 'I'll get started on that next week' or something like that.

If my wife ASKS me 'When are you going to re-floor the veranda?' I reply 'I'll get started on that next week' or something like that.
