Hi, I´d like to know if there´s a difference in these two sentences:

John suggests to Barbara that they marry in June.

John suggests to Barbara marrying in June.

You can also say John suggests to Barbara that they should marry in June

The 2nd one is indeed a bit confusing.

The first, which is OK, uses the subjunctive:
