Sudden death while sleeping of a baby...

Hi

One of my dictionaries [Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary] defines "crib death" something like this:

Sudden death while sleeping of a baby that appears to be healthy.

Would you say the wording sounds OK to you, especially the underlined part?

Thanks,

Tom

I'd put a comma after 'sleeping'. Maybe before 'while' as well.

I'd add "The".
The sudden death while sleeping of a baby that appears to be healthy.
I'd call Clive's commas optional.

1) That's not a sentence. It's a definition, so it should not have the markings of a sentence.
2) You can say "crib death" is the sudden unexpected death, in a crib or while sleeping, of an apparently previously healthy infant."
