Such/ such a/an

Hi there. I'm a bit confused with these patterns. Could someone explain me in black and white? Some ways I know are:

such + noun phrase. We didn't expect such weather. Do I need to insert "a" here (a weather) and why?

such + adj+countable / uncountable noun. She has got such lovely hair. We don't use indefinite article because we can't say "a hair", do we?
She has got such an expensive car.

such + adj + plural noun. We have never paid such high taxes before. We don't use a/an here because we don't use indefinite article with plural nouns, do we?

such (a/an) + adj + noun + (that). He had such a (is it suitable here or not? Can we omit it?) bad breath no woman would go near him.

Should we use such or/with indefinite article just reffering to general rules of using Articles? Thank you so much. Please correct me in any way. I would appreciate any notices and explanations on this subject.

Hi, it's easy. SUCH just modifies what comes next. If what comes next takes the article, you leave it there, otherwise, you leave everything the way it is anyway.

You've got it all figured out. Congratulations! Weather is uncountable, in other words, never occurs in the plural, and that's why a is inappropriate with it. Breath is usually uncountable as well, so no article is the best choice with it.

It's a good book. It's such a good book.

They are good books. They are such good books.
