Such a?

Hello again. This time I'd like to ask a question about the use of a after such.

The following examples are quoted from Longman English Dictionary Online.

The rules make it quite clear what should be done in such a situation.

She needs to see a psychiatrist or some such person.

Both situation and person are count nouns. So why is an 'a' not used in the second sentence after such? She needs to see a psychiatrist or some such a person.

Thanks.

NugsoSo why is an 'a' not used
It already has 'some'. You can't have both 'some' and 'a'.
