Such

Hello,

Can one say: such glory instead of such a glory? Is the article necessary? When is it necessary while using such?

Warmly,

Top answer

With countable nouns you need the article: "such a journey" "such an idea" With uncountable nouns you do not: "such music" "such information" "glory", like quite a number of nouns, can be both uncountable and countable, so "such a glory" and "such glory" are both possible. In general, "such glory" seems more likely, but one would need to see the full context.
