Hi,
So me and my friend we both are volunteers in Germany, Magdeburg. and our project is to make website with video interviews with other volunteers in Germany. to show others that there are no limits for being volunteer and etc.
So as interviews is in german, we need to write subtitles in english.
we wrote and we asked to correct them to our friends(who are ot native speakers, but know english better than us). but there are one subtitles what none of our friends want to and know to how to correct.

so we would be really thankful for your help.
and I know it's a lot of text.
DanielThere was a show on TM3 named "Treasure Island".
I found it cool! A little boy who sneaked off to a ship...
I think it was like that.
Yes, Pirates... that would be my era!
Also travel around by ship, get to know other harbors, other cities, carry something from here to there...
I am good in geography as well. I think I would be a good captain!
I always try to pay attention to the team and to track the targets.
And then you need people who know how to do the rest. Cooking, calculate the wind.
Which is important at volunteering is that you know for what you are doing it.
For yourself as well. That sounds egoistic but it gives you
a lot.
It gives me a lot when I can bring in the things which I can do well.
In my free time I engage for the hip hop music culture.
It all started because a friend of mine makes music.
2005, in school I used to go to Magdeburg and there I attended the first "Jams".
I found it really interesting that there were so many people who make music and meet there. Quite personally as well.
And so it came step by step.
I was always there as a guest and my buddy was on stage. And then I said: "Yes, that was cool!"
And I think at the beginning or at the end of 2006 a series of events have been dropped.
That was a freestyle battle where everyone from the region could show what he can.
That disturbs me because that was always the best.
Then I contacted the people who were a bit responsible for it.
And I said: I want it to be continued! I would distribute flyers, advertise and take care of the people.
Then I took it over more or less. Well I did not take it over but my part became bigger and bigger.
That is how it started.
Unfortunately I am not good at making music. I am better in organizing.
Because I like to get in contact with people. And I try to make things differently as well as realizing them.
Because a lot of people say: "That does not work!" or "It is not worth it!" And I want to show them that is worth it.
Especially when you are on a concert people say: "Is that profitable?", and "Will 500 people come?"
Then I say: "Just come!" Then maybe there are only 150 people.
But when you go home you know that you did something good. And the people are happy. And that is important!
I personally always need a connection. For example I always buy CDS when I am on a concert.
And when I look at them I remember when I was there or there. It is a great feeling.
It is a special relation. I think that when people listen to music a connection is missing very often.
I mean, everyone needs to decide that for themselves. I have an advantage because a lot of my friends make music.
And I am a bit involved in that. And I think that is an advantage.
Because then you listen to music in a different way I think.
When you know that you can go somewhere at the weekend and meet people there who
feel the same like you do when you experience something then there is nothing better than that.
Another point why I am doing this is that I have fun.
A lot of fun.
And I enjoy it when we are at another city and people there know something about Magdeburg.
It is great! When they know Magdeburg and not just say: "It is East Germany. Is there anything?"
Horrible! Then I always say: "Yes there is something. You should come and see!"
We used to have a nice slogan on flyers. We had a bit trouble because of this but not really.
"Damn commercialism, the main thing is that you get good money!"-Now I have the chance to explain this sentence.
Of course, for what you do you should get paid fair but not over the top.
It means that you should not make money excessively but that you should be rewarded fairly.
Of course I can say that because I do not have a family, a house or a child. I can pay for my flat and my train tickets.
I have seen people break down because of money.
At some point you have enough. Then you just say: "It does not matter! The main thing is that you are happy!"
Everyone needs to know where he is good at. And it should not matter what others do or what is trendy.
I think you get the most and are the most happy when you know what you want.
That changes quite often, that you should be aware of. But
when you look back you should not regret what you did when you know that at this moment
that was what you wanted and you gave everything to achieve it.
Just do it people! Dare it! Invest time, strength, passion, voice, everything you have!
thank you very much.
