Substance

Following is a passage I come across in a hardware review website.

The comparison of the two showed that TouchFlo 3D may look great and offer great customizability, but it lacks substance and functionality.

Just got no idea what the word "substance" would mean in this context.

Any one please shed some light on me?

Thanks in advance,

Style and substance: Style is how something looks. Substance is what something is. So, they're saying the program looks pretty, but doesn't do much.
