Subordination

Hi ,dear friends
How does it make a difference between although, however, still, nonethelese, neverthelese and on the other hand?
I mean it seems that they belong to two different groups, which factors should i consider when i suppposed to choose" however or nonetheless"?
Here is the problem:
The statue is 50 m high and some 80 metric tons of copper was required for its fabrication .It is probable that few projec ts before or since the Satue's construction in 1876-1885 ever required as much copper. ...........,no historical records have yet been found to indicate precisely the source of copper.
1)Nonetheless 2)However
Also i have a problem with although and though versus however, nevertheles, still and so on...... .

Thanks in advance.
