Subordinate Conjunction

I am sorry that i wont be able to make it at our scheduled time. I have a module currently running during this period, and I can't afford to miss it. I will however be available before 2.30 should you decide to meet me then. Thanks for your understanding...
Just to keep you informed, i was hoping to get some advice about whether to go for the research aspect of the project or for the practical work. If doing the research gives me the opportunity to earn more marks, then i will be happy to choose that part of the project instead. We can discuss more on this when we meet wednesday or tomorrow. I have you as my virology lecturer and so that would be a great place to plan my project with you.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with the letter above? I used two coodinate conjunctions (and so) in the last sentence of the letter, is this the right way to use it? Let's
