Subordinate clauses

Could somebody please help me analyse this sentence:

(1)Since being acquired by Coca Cola in 2001, the number of workers has been cut from 1,500 to 65, with production curbed to 50,000 hectoliters.(2)

My guess
1 - Adverbial clause (temporal)
2 - Another main clause, with serves as coordinating conjunction??

Help much appreciated..

Hi, Here's how I see it. (2) Since being acquired by Coca Cola in 2001, adverbial clause the number of workers has been cut from 1,500 to 65, main clause with production curbed to 50,000 hectoliters. adverbial clause, liinked by a preposition.

  • adverbial clause, liinked by a preposition.
  • Consider that instead of this, you could more simply say "with curbed production", which shows more clearly the adverbial aspect of what is being said.
