I would like to know if there is any difference in meaning between the following sentences:
"I recommended her to buy the coat", and:
"I recommended (that)she(should)buy the coat".
I understand that many verbs as this can be used as a subjuntive and as a indicative to mean the same, as in this case. If so I suppose the only way to learn them is to memorize them as there is no rule to apply.
Thank you so much in advance!

There's no difference in meaning. I know that the first form ("I recommended her to...") is sometimes used, but I don't like it. It doesn't sound right to me.
