Subjunctive tense question, and another

So I was reviewing some grammar to help me with portuguese grammar review, and I was wondering about the Past Subjunctive. On Wikipedia it lists it as "that I own," and I was wondering if there are substitutes for "that" in this case. As an example, could "if" be substituted for "that"?

Also, Future Subjunctive. Are there any substitutes for "shall" as in "shall I own?"

One other thing I wish to ask. When including a sentence in parantheses at the end of a sentence, should there be a comma before the parantheses? As in, "I walked to the store, (it wasn't very far). And I do believe the period is outside the parantheses, correct? But when the sentences ends with a quote, the period and any other ending punctuation (!,?) is inside the quotation marks?

Much thanks in advance,

John

jcarp179past subjunctive as "that I owned,"
Yes. That's just what I already told you above (minus that, which is the most usual complementizer with subjunctive clauses, and thus assumed).

jcarp179future subjective as "if I were to own."
This is not a true subjunctive of "own". It's the subjunctive of be

Thank you very much. It was the use of "that" in particular that was my primary question. Thanks for the quick reply.
