Subjunctive mood

Am I always need to use the subjunctive mood when I talk about hypothetical situations?

Because I read sometimes article about english grammar and I find the author writes something like "I wish I wasn't so busy", but as I figured it suppose to be "I wish I weren't so busy".

So can anyone explain to me what is going on in here?

Anonymous Am Do I always need to use the subjunctive mood when I talk about hypothetical situations? No. It's quite common to use the indicative ( was ) instead of the subjunctive ( were ) in those kinds of sentences.
