Subjunctive mode
Good morning.
I am trying to solve some problems I find when trying to translate some sentences from Spanish. They are all relating to what we call subjunctive mode. How would you translate the sentences: "Sugirió / Insistió / Me pidió que (yo) fuera más tolerante con ella".
I would say:
She suggested that I would be more tolerant with her.(is it possible to say "She suggested me being more tolerant" or "She suggested that I be more tolerant?").
She insisted on my being more tolerant with her.
She requested me being more tolerant with her.
But I'm no pretty sure if I am right. If not, please let me know some rules to stop making that mess.

I know only a little bit of Spanish, but I would be comfortable with:
She insisted/ asked/ suggested/ requested that I be more tolerant toward her.
She insisted on my being more ....
She requested/ asked me to be more....
(P.S. Americans prefer "toward"; other speakers may prefer "towardS.")
