Subjunctive?

Hi there,

I have to say, I've never been asked to teach the subjunctive case so this topic is one I definitely need to study.

However, I created the following sentence:

'If I was to see her, I'd run a mile!'

I know that if I said this:

'If I were to see her, I'd run a mile'

this would be a conditional clause.

I'm wondering how you'd describe the first statement, 'If I was to see her, I'd run a mile.'

English really is a bottomless pit, for sure!

Thanks,
Cup Cake.

Thanks Mr. M.

Glad to know I'm not really losing it. Emotion: tongue tied

Sometimes I wonder - who is teaching who? Lol.
