Subjunctive

Hello,

Could you please review the following sentences in order

to check whether the subjunctive is used correctly?

* I recommend that she depart immediately.

* It is necessary that the room be furnished in the same way it was before repairs.

* It was necessary that the room were furnished in the same way it was before repairs.

Thanks in advance.

I am not saying that any one of them is really wrong but my preference would be to use the indicative in the last sentence: It was necessary that the room was furnished in the same way it was before repairs. I would prefer this because whatever was necessary has been carried out and the speaker's opinion can no longer bear on the matter. CB
