I trid to replace each of sentences as other expressions for same meaing.
Please look at them. Advise me.

#1. I stop short of the door.
Question1.  Would you replace it as other sentense easily?
#2-a. She drinks out of the spring.
   (=She drinks from the spring)

#2-b.She drinks the heart out of a fine spring afternoon
Question2. I don't know what drinks the heart means.

Question1. Would you replace it as other sentense easily? eg I stopped before I reached the door
