Hi Everyone,
Following from my last post, I thought I'd give an example of subject and verb 'disagreement' here.
I've just read an article online and found this paragraph, which 'sort of' highlights my point of seeing numerous subject and verb 'disagreements'.
What do people people think of this paragraph:
“The vast amount of coal that comes out of North Korea going to China, they’ve turned back the boats,” Mr Trump told the joint press conference with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
Having pasted this, I know it could well be an elliptical construction, but nevertheless, there is a disagreement of sort, yes?
I saw another 'classic' example of my point yesterday online, but I was at work and couldn't cut and paste from the source at the time. Now, of course, I can't find it. Never mind; this paragraph is a good start.
Happy Easter,
