Subject verb agreement

Hi

Two cups of lemon juice is added to the mixture.

I think it is is and not are.

If you see the "two cups of lemon juice" as an ingredient, i.e., the one of many elements of the mixture, then, yes, the verb "is" is OK.

I would consider it one ingredient in a recipe.
